Im Zuge meiner bei Rundfunk und Presse aufsehenerregenden Plakataktion “Lieber Herbert”, mit der ich den Sänger Herbert Grönemeyer dazu aufrief, mit mir Kontakt aufzunehmen, entstand auch die gleichnamige Single. Diese ist nicht der “Hit”, für den ich Herbert Grönemeyer gewinnen möchte, jedoch ebenso von mir produziert und geschrieben. “Lieber Herbert” ist meine erste Veröffentlichung, in der ich selber und auf Deutsch singe. In dem Lied beschreibe ich die Schwierigkeit für unbekannte Musiker, auch mit sehr gutem Material in der Musikindustrie Fuß zu fassen. “Ohne Angst” ging ich los und plakatierte fast 10.000 Poster in ganz Berlin mit dem Aufruf: “Lieber Herbert, ich habe deinen nächsten Hit! Bitte melde Dich! LG Roy”
